dc.description.abstractThis study aimed to study the reality of the school leadership program in the specialized training center for teachers in the Sultanate of Oman. Moreover, it aimed to identify what types of training programs are implemented in the leadership[ program and their level of suitability for the school principals and their assistants. Furthermore, it aimed to find out to what extent this might raise the skill and the leadership level of the targeted sample to advance the educational process. The study has included all the administrators (school principals and their assistants), who have already been enrolled in the leadership program. They are 126 trainers, they are still training in the center. The study used the descriptive method. The study questionnaire has been designed as a means to collect the needed data. It included (49) falls under two areas. The study shows that the degree of approval of the targeted sample in the leadership program was among the high and medium degree of approval, from the points of view of the school principals. Moreover, there are no statistically significant differences at the level of significance (0.05≥α) for the average of the responses of the targeted sample in this program according to the social variable for the following areas (the training needs, planning and designing the training programs the training environment and timing). However, there were some statistically significant differences in the following areas (training program content, training program trainees, methods and training tools) for the females, While, on the other side, there were no statistically significant differences according to scientific qualification variable, years of experience, job title variable and governorate variable in all areas of the study tool. The level of the performance of the targeted sample in the program in the field of training performance was among the highest and the medium level. It also showed some statistically significant differences in the significant (0.05≥α) for the average of responses in the level of the school principals who are enrolled in this program. That is their point of view according to type variable in all fields and for the benefits of the females. There were no differences in the responses average of the targeted sample in the performance level of the school principals who are enrolled in the program of the specialized training center for teachers. This is from their point of view according to scientific qualification variable, job title variable and governorate variable in all areas. Besides, years of experience variable in all areas except in the application field. There were some statistically significant differences for the years of experience variable (1-9). Adding to this, there was a positive relationship which has a statistical significance between the level of approval of the targeted sample in all areas of the reality of school leadership program in the specialized training center and the areas of the level of performance of school principals who are enrolled in the program.en_US
