Abstract: This article focuses on the Islamic State system by clarifying the definition, characteristics, classification, the position of lslam in Malaysia as well as the development of the implementation process of the Islamic system in Malaysia. The author elucidates that a the Malaysian Constitution has been promulgated from consultations and tolerance amongst major races in Malaya and subsequently Malaysia. It is imperative that the agreement based on mutual tolerance and solidarity of these major races be respected. This article discusses that Malaysia as an lslamic state requires commitment from all quarters to successfully implement and fulfil its aspiration.
